If you choose the Aetna PPO with HSA, there is a change to your pharmacy program. We are moving our Prescription Drug Plan to Magellan Rx for 2020! Get access to national and regional pharmacies in-network such as Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and more!

How to use your Rx plan

You will receive one ID card with your Aetna Medical plan on the front and Magellan Rx plan on the back. Present your Magellan information along with your prescription to any participating pharmacy every time you fill your prescription.

Employee Assistance Program

Magellan Employee Assistance Program is here! From help with daily tasks to working on more complex issues, EAP provides you and your family coaching, counseling, self-care apps, manager support, critical incident response, child and elder care resources, legal, financial and identity theft programs and a variety of services to help you with the ups and downs on the journey of life.

Life Insurance

Don’t worry, your Basic Life, AD&D, and Supplemental Life Plans remain the same in 2020, however, the new carrier is The Hartford. Now is a great time to review your life insurance elections and ensure you have the right coverage for you and your family members.

Keep an eye on per pay costs! While rates are not changing, Supplemental life insurance costs go up when your age next year ends in a 0 or a 5.

Wellness Surcharge Increase

In 2020, Wellness Surcharges increase to $40 per pay period. However, your Wellness Plan will remain the same (except we are moving to Virgin Pulse as our vendor).

Continuing this year

Niagara will continue to offer Biometric Screenings with Nicotine Testing for Team Members and spouses/domestic partners enrolled in a Niagara medical plan on 01/01/2020.

Here’s what you and your spouse will need to do between January 1 – February 29, 2020:

Complete your Personal Health Profile (PHP), an online, confidential questionnaire through Virgin Pulse
Participate in a Biometric Health Screening at a Niagara onsite event OR at a participating Quest Diagnostics Lab
During the Biometric Screening, participate in a Nicotine Test and test negative for tobacco use

Rewards for participating in a wellness program are available to all eligible Team Members/spouses. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for a reward under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by a different means. Contact the Benefits Department. We will work with you (and, if you wish, with your doctor) to develop another way to qualify for the reward.

HSA Match

A health savings account (HSA) is a medical savings account. You will earn $0.50 on every $1 you set aside to a maximum Niagara Match of $250 individual / $500 family.
